Let AI Suggest Variations

  • Make a vegetarian lasagna with spinach and mushrooms.
  • Use a white béchamel sauce instead of ricotta for a different style.
  • Add a layer of pesto for extra flavor.
  • Use Italian sausage instead of ground beef for a spicier taste.

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions.

2. In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion until browned. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Stir in crushed tomatoes and simmer for 15 minutes.

3. In a bowl, combine ricotta, 1/2 of the mozzarella, parmesan, and egg.

4. Spread a layer of meat sauce in the bottom of the baking dish. Top with a layer of noodles, then a layer of the ricotta mixture. Repeat layers.

5. Top with remaining meat sauce and mozzarella cheese.

6. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
